My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of creating a safe learning environment so students feel comfortable and confident. I aim to achieve this by promoting inclusion, empathy, and integrating mindfulness practices into my  daily classroom routine. This can lookslike SEL check in's, and creating lessons that appeal to student interests. By prioritizing these values, I strive to empower students to explore their full potential. I firmly believe in providing numerous opportunities for creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative teamwork. These opportunities can look like:

⭐ Hands on, collaborative STEM activites

⭐ Allowing choice for assignments

⭐ Learning in multiple ways (Active Math activities)

Through these experiences, students not only develop academic skills but also cultivate resilience, adaptability, and a lifelong passion for learning.
