Christmas Gifts for Outdoorsy People

Are you looking for the perfect gift for someone who would rather be on a hike in the middle of the woods than anywhere else? I've put together a gift guide of my top 7 gifts that are sure to put a smile on any outdoor enthusiasts face.

1. Good Socks -$30

A good pair of socks is any outdoor enthusiasts dream (seriously we love socks). Any socks specific to winter hiking or skiing are a good option for the outdoor enthusiast who spends lots of time outdoors in the winter! I recommend checking out the MEC or Sail websites. A good pair of socks will run you around $30. My favourite pair are the Smartwool Classic Light Cushion Core Trio Socks - Women's from MEC:

2. Patagonia Fleece (the "uglier" the better) - $150

I have yet to meet an outdoor enthusiast that is not literally OBSESSED with Patagonia fleeces, especially the Patagonia Lightweight Synchilla fleece, check it out here.

3. Literally ANY Base Layers (pls we love base layers) -$50 - $150

The outdoor enthusiast can never have enough base layers to keep them warm on chilly days in the woods. Good base layers usually have a wool or merino wool blend. Check out some of my favourite base layers:

Techwool 190 women’s mountain trekking long-sleeved shirt from Decathlon:

Smartwool Merino 250 Base Layer Pattern Bottoms from MEC:

4. Headlight - $20

A good headlight is an essential for any outdoors lover, especially in the winter when it gets dark so early. Check out this affordable and high quality headlamp from Decathlon here

5. Yeti Thermos $40

You can't go wrong with any Yeti product. Most outdoors stores like MEC and Sail carry the full range of Yeti products. I recommend getting the outdoors lover in your life the Yeti Rambler 14 Mug With Magslider Lid or the Yeti Rambler 20 Vacuum Mag Slider Tumbler.

6. Hut booties -$80

Hut booties are what every outdoor enthusiast dreams of but would most likely never buy for themselves, so why not gift it to them. Check out my favourite ones at MEC here.

7. Protein bars

8.  MEC, SAIL, or Decathlon gift card
